Location Data
How to Control Location Access
WeatherThere uses your location to provide weather information for your current position and planned routes. You can control this at any time:
- Open your iPhone Settings
- Scroll down and tap WeatherThere
- Tap Location
- Choose your preferred option:
- Never - App cannot access location
- Ask Next Time - Prompt each time
- While Using the App - Access only when app is open (Recommended)
Advertising Privacy
Personalized Ads
WeatherThere displays ads to keep the app free. We use non-personalized ads by default, but you have additional controls:
Limit Ad Tracking (iOS):
- Open your iPhone Settings
- Tap Privacy & Security
- Tap Apple Advertising
- Turn on Personalized Ads or turn it off to limit tracking
Reset Advertising Identifier:
- Open your iPhone Settings
- Tap Privacy & Security
- Tap Apple Advertising
- Tap Reset Advertising Identifier
Data Deletion
Your Data Rights
Good news: WeatherThere does not store any personal data on our servers. All data is processed locally on your device:
- Location data is processed in real-time and not stored
- Route information is temporary and cleared when you close the app
- No user accounts or profiles are created
To clear all app data: Simply uninstall the app from your device. This removes all local data including saved preferences.

To see and manage all permissions granted to WeatherThere:
- Open your iPhone Settings
- Scroll down and tap WeatherThere
- Review all permissions and toggle as needed
California Residents (CCPA)
If you are a California resident, you have the right to:
- Know what personal information is collected (see our Privacy Policy)
- Know whether personal information is sold or disclosed (we do not sell personal information)
- Say no to the sale of personal information (not applicable as we do not sell data)
